I love this bag - I took it apart and relined it with a different stiffening material which has given it a softer and more comfortable feel when you toss it over your shoulder. Of course the question has to be asked just what am I going to do with all these bags?
Mooseboy is testing out a cookbook that I have bought him - well I bought it for the males in my household, it is time for them to do some cooking on the weekend as I don't particularly want to cook on the weekend.
So tonight's gastronomic delight is macaroni cauliflower cheese - which may not sound particularly slimming BUT as I am not cooking, have a glass of wine in hand, three finished bags, patted the cats who are luxuriating in front of the fire I am feeling a little smug - the down side is I am hearing the sounds of pots crashing and disgruntled mumbling coming from the kitchen...ah the joy of cooking.
Your bags are gorgeous and it sounds like you have mastered the art...knocking out 3 bags in an afternoon - or did I read that wrong? Me cooking on the weekend - unheard of in our house! MPP cooks every weekend, unless he's away. He even makes pancakes on Sunday morning (only as a special treat - Princess G's 10th birthday party (+3 guests) yesterday morning). Me, lounging it, with a book in bed. (That doesn't seem to happen enough these days). I just couldn't face the noise, the drama, etc. I just wanted my house back. Intolerant bugger that I am!
ReplyDeleteyour boys are right you do have a wonderful smile. I knocked out those three bags on the weekend - got such a crick in the neck! Love sewing bags, however house if filling up, Christmas for female friends is taken care of I think.

The reason I love sewing is that you never run out of girly presents for friends etc....only problem is all the males in my family keep missing out...hehehe. I LOVE the brown pink combo(middle one)...I am very patient and will wait for the perfect purple bag with stripes spots flowers!!!have an awesome day my kindred spirit
ReplyDeleteand in answer to that question you pose on what to do with these bags....YOU WILL SELL them my friend....come on you can do it...tagged and sell...
ReplyDeleteI can just see you at the Saturday market...everyone will start talking about that awesome bag lady!!! Maybe you can supply one of the stalls at the market...I'll be looking out for your wares on the 3 July.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of making that date Friday 2nd July at The Lesmurdie Club? Does that suit you and do you still want to book a table. I just need to hear back from Jo to make sure she can make it. Cheers.
